AI Dungeon is a text-based, AI-generated fantasy simulation with infinite possibilities. Unlike most games where you experience worlds created by game designers, with AI Dungeon, users can direct the AI to create worlds, characters, and scenarios for their character to interact with.

Users could lead an army fighting back an alien invasion, or be a mythical detective investigating the attempted assassination of the fairy queen. They can pick a character, a world, or a story from thousands of community-made scenarios, or create their own! The AI will fill in the details for their unique adventure. Users can decide what their character says or does. The AI will produce responses from other characters or world events for them to respond to.

Every adventure is unique and unexpected. Users can customize their adventure with custom theme combinations and advanced AI tweaks. They can create cards for characters, locations, and more!

Generating entire worlds, characters, and scenarios with depth and complexity that users can interact with takes a tremendous amount of computing and intelligence. AI Dungeon offers a platform to play and create AI-generated adventures with infinite possibilities.

AI Dungeon offers several membership tiers with different pricing and benefits:

Wanderer (Free): Basic text and image models, up to 2k context, AI Speed Boost with Scales.
Adventurer ($9.99 USD per month): Premium text models, Basic + Premium image models, 480 credits per month, up to 4k context.
Champion ($14.99 USD per month): Premium text models, Basic + Premium image models, 760 credits per month, up to 8k context, Premium Themes (coming soon).
Legend ($29.99 USD per month): Premium + Ultra text models, Premium + Ultra image models, 1650 credits per month, up to 16k context, Unlimited Premium Image Gen.
Mythic ($49.99 USD per month): Unlimited Premium + Ultra text models, Unlimited Premium + Ultra image models, 2750 credits per month, up to 32k context.

Each membership tier features customizable subscription lengths with discounts available. Subscriptions are auto-renewing and include a one-week trial with purchase. Credit bundles are automatically granted after payment goes through.

Context length determines how much text is sent to the AI model to generate the next action in an AI Dungeon Adventure. When you take an action, your Adventure text is combined with any information stored in the AI Instructions, Story Summary, Plot Essentials, Author’s Notes, and relevant Story Cards.

There are multiple text and image models available in AI Dungeon. Basic models are available for Wanderer and Traveler tiers. Premium models are available for all subscribers. Free users get daily actions from the Premium promo model. Ultra Models are available for Legend and Mythic tiers.

These model tiers are referenced on the pricing information and membership details pages. More Context recently doubled the context sizes offered in AI Dungeon. The new context lengths are aligned with each tier. Legend and Mythic players can also use up to 128k context length for GPT-4 Turbo by spending 1 Credit per action for every 250 tokens of context (Mythic includes unlimited actions on GPT-4 Turbo with 1k tokens as part of the subscription).
